Make Microsoft Outlook Wortwhile: Outlook on Crack?
I’ve always thought that outlook needed expanded functionality to really help me out in my day to day work. Emails need to be able to be tasks, I need to be able to write down comments on emails and then pull them back up later when I check that correspondence, etc.
I tried out Bells and Whistles for Outlook a few months ago and it has some decent features (if you mention the word “attach” or “attached,” etc in an email but don’t attach a file, it will alert you before you send it), but did not blow me away.
I’m hoping ClearContext will be the answer to my problems. With features such as:
- See all your information organized by project
- Turn emails into appointments and tasks
- Never miss and important reply again
I think this could end up being a great addition to Outlook’s feature set. I will test for a week and report my findings.
gmail and google calendar keep getting better. i think they are going to eclipse outlook soon if they haven’t already

Lucas, Even for businesses? This article compares Gmail to Outlook and I think the general opinion is: yeah gmail is hot, but the workflow advantages in Outlook make it more friendly for business use.
