Marketing Tip #267: Buy Advertising on Solitaire

US Next-Generation Video Game Console Usage, by Age and Gender

eMarketer just published an article about the increase in women as PC Gamers. Tell me what you are imagining after reading this:

In addition, 29% of total PC game players were women ages 25 to 54, the largest percentage of any group. Women ages 55 and up were 17% of the market, the third-largest behind men 25 to 54. Older women spent the second-highest number of minutes playing.

So I’m thinking of some older woman with crazed out, perm hair two handing a joystick with goggles on. Now, thousands of them all over the country. But sadly no.

As I kept reading, the article points out that the standard games that come with Windows count…like Solitaire and FreeCell. I should have thought of that…but come on…who’s a “FreeCell Gamer.” Oh wait. YOUR MOM.
