Saab Global – 9-4X BioPower Concept

29 July 2008 675 views 2 Comments

Saab has released a micro site on its newest eco-friendly 300 horsepower 9-4x concept car. It’s running on bio-ethanol, but can switch to normal gasoline at anytime if ethanol isn’t available.

I personally love Saab’s designs, but regardless, do you think this technology is the next best option for Americans?

your penchant for scan design has been strong for as long as i’ve known you. it’s pretty amazing that you can use ethanol or gasoline, or any combination of the two. i think this technology has been around for a while though. i rented a flexfuel suburban for a ruf trip a couple years ago. i think the fact that more luxurious car companies are making flexfuel cars shows that it’s probably a pretty good solution.

Yeah, I wonder if Ethanol/Gas is the better solution than Electric/Gas? I tend to lean away from Ethanol because of the negative publicity it has received.
