So yes, Michelle Obama likes to sport the foot bling…if you haven’t seen the pics of these shoes (I personally think they are fairly ugly…nothing personal) just know that before you go out and spend $540 on a pair of your own, you could be getting a lot of other cool stuff.

1. $199 – Who doesn’t want a Chumby? These little guys are for people who are into both dork and sport alike. Hook this mobile gadget up to your photos, music, pandora account…get on it!
2. $499 – You may not look really cool doing this, but it’s gotta be really fun. The AquaSkipper is a lightweight, personal hydrofoil device that lets you fly across any body of water by applying weight up and down. Oh yes, there are videos (the guy at the 1:11 mark looks hilarious!).
3. $118 – When the mood is right, hit a button on this mobile remote and set the mood by controlling all of the lights in your house. Or if you are scared of the dark, leave a remote in your bedroom and you can turn all of your home’s lights off with one click- just buy the Intermatic Lighting Control Starter Kit.
4. $149.99 – Again, you could look really lame whipping this out at Starbucks, yet…better than the shoes.

So all of this stuff is actually not that $$$. You could buy an extra two or three for your friends, or donate it to Salvation Army. If you got to return Michelle Obama’s shoes…what would you buy?
